Qingyin chansi 消音禪寺 is located at Jalan Jos. Sudarso in Pulo Brayan. It is called Vihara Avalokites Wara. Cordinates: 3.624255,98.6696621

The place has been refurbished in 1970s, the original temple is called Guanyin-gong 觀音宮. The origin of the temple goes back to the 1880s. It is now managed by Henghua people. Main deities are Shakyamuni, Guanyin, and Dizang-wang.
The main stone reads 新建觀音宮題緣碑記光緒十二年. The stone inscription was on the occasion of the foundation of Guanyin-gong and donations, set up by Zhang Yunan (Zhong Yong Hian) and others. The list of donors is headed by Zhang Yunan, who gave 51 yuan, followed by Liu Yuanzhen, who gave 50 yuan. Further 86 individuals and firms donated amounts ranging from 40 yuan to four yuan. Altogether 765 yuan were donated . Dated 1886.
The temple has a bronze bell donated to Guanyin of Bayen by Fang Donglai and his family . Dated 1904.
Another stone inscription was setup on the occasion of the rebuilding of the temple by the priest Chengxiong (also was in Charge of Kuan te Kong in Medan). Guanyin-gong was founded on the initiatives of Zhang Yunan . In the 1970s it was rebuilt and got its new name, since several deities besides Guanyin are worshipped . Dated 1978.
Wudi Miao

Not far, North, was Pekong Kuan tee Bio (Kuan tee kong) located at Jl. Pertempuran No.48a, Pulo Brayan. It was called Wudi-miao.
A short stone inscription set up on the occasion of the restoration of the temple by Huang Jiecheng and his family,the Kapitein’s wife , nee Wen , and four others. The calligraphy is poor. Dated 1890.
A bronze bell with the name of deity Xietian dadi, cast at Xieyuan Foundry, Hong Kong donated by Liu teng from Chenghai. Dated 1897.
The temple has a Fujian-gongsi which occupies a section of the temple. Dated 1971
